Begin (2024)

2023 ended weirdly abruptly for me, but I got the shot in the arm I needed in order to hit the ground running in 2024. This year's going to be absolutely crazy, but for me personally, I feel my worst years are finally behind me. I'm ready to stop drowning in a sea of...

Expanding Kaiser Lore

One of the most annoying things about fleshing out these World War II inspired factions is that there isn't enough territory in the setting to go around. I mean we've got America, the UK, Germany, France, Japan, etcetera. There are only a handful of habitable worlds,...

Thumbnails Finished

The thumbnails for the Admiral Hipper, Cosmo Messer F2, and the KM-3s missile are finished. A bit rushed but they all look decent enough, especially the F2. Have a look. I also squished the frames a little to give the subjects more screen space. Once again, I think...

Cosmo Messer F2 Progress

It's pretty much finished. Unfortunately there are still some workshop related things I need to do and I don't quite have enough time for all of that tonight. Hopefully I'll have it sorted by tomorrow or sometime in the middle of the week, but if not, next weekend at...

End of November Updates

by | Nov 27, 2021 | Art, Frame Ops, FV, Journal, LGT

Fleeing Victory

With Fleeing Victory #12 up that’s one of my goals for this month finished. December is going to be a quick and light month for me writing-wise, but I don’t want to take more than a month off from writing these short stories. Instead, what I’ll do for December is set a smaller goal. Instead of five entries, I’ll only have three due by December 31st. That’s FVs #13-15 to finish out the year.

Emancipating Blade

Like always I’m cutting it pretty close with LGT, but the goal here isn’t going to change. One a month, that’s how it goes. This way, I’ll have all seven chapters done by April next year. As for the current chapter, Emancipating Blade will be done by the 30th, but I’ll admit it’s going to be close, ‘Reconsider sleeping Monday night’ close. Writer’s block isn’t the problem, the outline being made of liquid is. Ideas for improving it keep coming and going and it’s really hard to settle on the overall content and the sequence scenes happen in. As I write, more and more things are forced into place, but having too many good ideas floating around really slows down my progress. I’m hoping to get it just about finished by Monday night, and then wrap things up on Tuesday before actually posting.

Map

There’s been good progress, but I had a specific goal in mind for this month that probably isn’t going to pan out. The river issue isn’t as bad as I thought it would be, but realistic mountains have a very distinct and complex look to them that I can’t replicate at all at my current skill level. I’m still experimenting with different brushes and methods, but since I’ve only got three days to do the high peaks for the entire map, I think it’s safe to call this one a bust. I’ll still keep working on it regardless, but the next map update probably won’t be ready until around mid-December.

Frame Ops

The main plot is outlined, but character arcs are still in the air because I haven’t settled on the final cast, yet. I’m still trying to cram fifteen characters or so down into about seven. Because of that I’m not going to consider this monthly goal completed just yet.

Artorius

Opposite problem as Frame Ops. Figuring out which parts of the main part to keep and which ones to save for another story is a bit too difficult right now since I’m focused on LGT. The character arcs are pretty much all figured out, even the minor characters. I’m not giving up until December 1st on this goal, but as of today it’s the most likely to fall through.

That’s all for now.
