I am tired, sore, event addled, the works, but still alive.
Anyway, Clan Battles went well enough. We experimented a little, which saw me playing the Shimakaze at least once. I spent about half our matches in the Kremlin and the last few in the Großer Kurfürst, which was fun. Overall a good night.
I haven’t been able to break into the Chronicles of Proxima just yet, and I won’t have it finished in a few days like I planned, but it’s still going to get done on time.
As of this writing, the only goal for December that I’m worried about is the water paths for the map. I’ve tried all kinds of techniques to replicate the way rivers look on a height map of the Earth, but most are extremely tedious and don’t quite hit the mark. If I started earlier, I could maybe settle for one of the more tedious options, and then clean things up toward the end of the month, but with nine days to go, I think it’s better to focus on Proxima and that last blog article. If I can still rescue the map goal for the month somehow, I will, but it’s not looking likely.
I think that’s all for now. I’ve got some thoughts about another story I want to start working on soon, but those thoughts aren’t organized enough for anything more than a mention. Maybe this weekend I’ll bring it up again.
